I'm no superman...

I want to draw your attention to the irrational acts in movies, especially the Superman... When Lois Lane falls from the top of a skyscraper, superman comes rushing and grabs her in mid air in his strong arms! What a wonderful feat of strength, timing and of course, romance! But, isn't it physically similar to the situation in which she falls directly onto two iron rods? To actually save her, he would have to equate her velocity and gradually decelerate to stop her fall. But we don't see him doing that.

And Ms. Lane is supposed to be a sharp, ambitious and one of the best reporters Metropolis has to offer. But, she fails to notice the striking similarity between superman's face and that of her closest colleague with glasses removed!

In the 1978 Superman movie, raging superman reverses the spin of earth's rotation to go back in time to prevent Lois' death. Now, let alone that it is impossible to go back in time in this way, but reversing earth's spin would have some harsh consequences on the life on Earth! There would be gradual magnetic reversal of poles. The strong solar flares, otherwise diverted due to the magnetic field would penetrate our atmosphere, changing its composition. Every living being will be exposed to those radiations. Oceanic and atmospheric currents will be reversed. But, this will not happen very slowly, because looking at the rate at which superman does it, it will certainly cause a great agitation in oceans and hurricanes everywhere on Earth! Now, the antagonist shown in the movie seems quite innocuous compared to this super-monster!
